DHAKA, May 3, 2026 – The Turkish Ambassador to Bangladesh, H.E. Ramis Sen, paid a courtesy call to the Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism, Afroza Khanam, MP, at the Bangladesh Secretariat today.

The meeting, which also included Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Tourism, M. Rashiduzzaman Millat, MP, focused on strengthening bilateral ties and exploring new avenues for cooperation in the aviation and tourism sectors.

Key Highlights of the Discussion:

• Bilateral Strengthening: Both parties emphasized the importance of deepening the existing relationship between Bangladesh and Turkey.

• Tourism Development: Detailed discussions were held regarding how Bangladesh can leverage Turkish expertise and cooperation to boost its domestic tourism industry.

• Aviation Interest: Ambassador Ramis Sen officially conveyed the interest of Celebi Aviation Holding, a prominent Turkish firm, in providing ground handling services at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA).

The Minister and State Minister expressed a positive outlook on the proposal, affirming their commitment to working closely with Turkey to modernize Bangladesh's aviation infrastructure.
