The volunteer organization Prothom Alo Foundation USA has taken a unique humanitarian initiative to bring the joy of the holy Eid-ul-Adha to the doorsteps of the underprivileged. This non-profit organization is set to organize Qurbani (sacrificial offering) for approximately 300 people across three villages in the Golapganj Upazila of Sylhet this upcoming Eid.
Sharing the Joy of the Festival
The organization stated that Eid is all about sharing happiness. However, many families cannot participate in the glory of the Qurbani sacrifice due to financial hardships. To bring smiles to their faces, this large-scale event will be conducted in collaboration with the local volunteer organization "Progoti-shil Gram Maitri Sangstha." The Qurbani will be performed under the direct supervision of an Imam to ensure all religious guidelines are strictly followed.
In addition to the Qurbani meat, the initiative also includes the distribution of essential food items as Eid gifts to these 300 families, ensuring no one is left out of the festive celebrations.

Since its inception during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Prothom Alo Foundation USA has remained dedicated to serving humanity. Whether distributing relief during floods or standing by common people during disasters, this organization has continued to work for the people of Bangladesh from abroad, even with limited resources.
Ibrahim Chowdhury, CEO of the foundation, said in a message:
