Trump rushed off stage after possible shots fired at White House Correspondents’ Dinner

BREAKING NEWS Trump Escorted Off Stage After Possible Shots Fired at White House Correspondents’ Dinner Washington, D.C. | April 25, 2026 — Former President Donald Trump was abruptly rushed off the stage by the U.S. Secret Service Saturday night after reports of possible gunfire during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C. Witnesses inside the ballroom said several loud bangs were heard moments after Trump appeared on stage, prompting agents to shout for guests to take cover. Vice President JD Vance, senior administration officials, and other attendees were also quickly evacuated as armed security officers moved into the room. According to early reports, one suspect was taken into custody, and authorities later confirmed that Trump was unharmed. The White House has not yet released a full statement on the incident, and investigators are still working to determine whether the sounds heard inside the venue were actual gunshots. The annual event, attended by top political leaders, journalists, and celebrities, was temporarily placed under lockdown as law enforcement secured the hotel. This remains a developing story.
