US lifts tariffs on Canada's plywood and paper, adds carpets before midterms
The White House is easing its 50% levy on some Canadian goods from 30 October and imposing new tariffs on others. Maine Senator Susan Collins, in a tight re-election race, says she lobbied for the relief.
