Michigan Senate debate turns personal over El-Sayed's religion and loyalty
Republican Mike Rogers questioned whether Democrat Abdul El-Sayed, a Muslim born in Michigan, is loyal to America and claimed he had ties to Islamist groups. El-Sayed called the attacks "shameful" and said they were beneath his opponent.
