NEW JERSEY — The highly anticipated CLP Annual New Jersey Convention will officially take place on July 18, 2026, marking a milestone celebration of over two decades dedicated to transforming the lives of underprivileged youth in Bangladesh through digital literacy. Serving as the exclusive official media partner for this historic event is the US Bangla Tribune, New Jersey’s premier all-English news publication, which recently signed a major community outreach partnership with the Computer Literacy Program (CLP).

Since its inception in 2004 by expatriate Bangladeshis in New Jersey, CLP has systematically introduced targeted educational frameworks to bridge the digital divide:

  • Foundational Literacy
    2004–2009
    Launched foundational Computer Literacy Centers (CLCs) and established Smart Class Rooms (SCRs) to pioneer interactive learning.

  • Global & Remote Outreach
    2016–2018
    Expanded into Education through Entertainment (EE), cultural exchanges via Connecting Students Around the World (CSAW), and Remote Volunteer Teaching (RVT).

  • Modern Skills Adaptation
    2020–2024
    Introduced E-Learning Methods (ELM), Expert Guided Learning (EGL), and launched Essential Office Skills (EOS) training to boost job-seeker marketability.

  • The AI & Freelance Frontier
    2025–2026
    Rolled out Freelancing Training (FT) and the Artificial Intelligence for Teachers (AIT) platform to equip educators with cutting-edge tools.
