Israel election results: Netanyahu leads but short of majority as Arab vote surges
Arab-led parties are projected to win a record 17 seats, enough on paper to hand Gadi Eisenkot a majority, but both main leaders have ruled out partnering with them. Up to 480,000 absentee ballots, mostly from soldiers, are due to be counted by Thursday.
