Jhenaidah, June 26, 2026: The Honorable Minister for Cultural Affairs, Mr. Nitai Roy Chowdhury, MP, stated that the government is working relentlessly to preserve and flourish the grassroots culture and heritage of the country. He called upon local cultural activists to work unitedly to further advance the rich cultural heritage of Jhenaidah.
He made these remarks as the chief guest at a views-exchange meeting with the cultural personalities of Jhenaidah district, held today at the conference room of the Jhenaidah District Administration. The vital meeting was presided over by the Deputy Commissioner of Jhenaidah, Mr. Md. Noman Hossain.
In his speech, the Cultural Affairs Minister added that cultural practices dispel darkness and superstitions from society and guide it toward enlightenment. The current government is providing appropriate patronage to cultural organizations and artists across all regions. In line with this commitment, he distributed financial grant checks from the Ministry of Cultural Affairs to various local cultural institutions and individuals of Jhenaidah during the event.
The meeting was attended by eminent cultural personalities from various levels in Jhenaidah, senior officials of the local administration, and dignitaries. The participants highlighted the current state of cultural activities, potentials, and placed several constructive proposals before the Honorable Minister. The Minister listened to them intently and assured them of taking all necessary measures for the infrastructural and qualitative development of cultural facilities in Jhenaidah.
