Each megawatt of solar capacity saves an estimated USD 325,000 annually in foreign currency. Over the past 15 years, electricity tariffs have been raised more than 10 times at bulk and retail levels, a trajectory the analysis calls unsustainable because fossil-fuel power remains tethered to global prices, dollar availability, and recurring subsidy cycles.
